Every Thursday in June, enjoy a free concert and family fun in the park in Ouray Colorado!
For the past few years, Ridgway and Paonia have been a part of the Western Slope Music Series every Thursday in July and August.These free concerts in the park provide an opportunity for families to enjoy great music, family fun, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and food, as well as beer and wine for sale to benefit several non profit organizations in the area.
This year, the Ouray Chamber Resort Association (OCRA) and the Ouray Parks and Recreation Committee (PARC) have joined in the fun, adding one more month of music and entertainment to the outdoor concert series. Whether you are a year round resident, or a part time visitor to the area, concerts in the park are a great way to meet new people, experience local craft brews and food, and offer support to this great community.
The concerts in Ouray will feature two talented musical groups each Thurday, and the opening band will then head on over to O'Brien's Pub & Grill to keep the music playing til 1:00 am!

Halden Woford and the High Beams
This high energy musical team have been performing for years accross the Western States, offering a refreshing mixture of originality and excitement to the Country and Western scene. Their fourth CD release this year, "Live! at Hodi's", featuring both original music as well as covers of a variety of favorites, demonstrates the talent and originality of this great band.
Opening set: Honey Don't
From Folk to Rock, Bill Powers and Shelley Gray are sure to have you tapping your feet and dancing through the park. Joined by Caleb Roberts, Joel Denman , Sticky Mulligan , and Randall Utterback , "Honey Don't" is sure to bring a smile to your face this Thursday!

The Pimps of Joytime
Combining elements of afrobeat, salsa, rock & roll and electronica to name a few, this up and coming band will sweep you up with ther funky sound, which is truly best experienced live. Their classic songwriting and undeniable swagger on stage consistently energizes dance parties wherever they appear.
Opening set: Phoebe Hunt
With her distinctive voice, and supreme talent on the fiddle, Phoebe Hunt will carry you away into her own mixture of pop, country, western, swing and jazz; transporting listeners on a journey of toe tapping fun.

Combining the talented children of siblings Tim and Molly O'Brien, O'Brien Party of 7 put a distinctive flavor into the traditional family band. Performing a variety of songs which highlight the talents and tastes of each member, O'Brien Party of 7 is an event in talent and fun.
Opening set: Mike Gwinn & the North Fork Flyers
Founded in American Songbook Jazz, the sound of this multitalented group of musicians has combined a variety of genres to create a lively arrangement of music sure to please everyone.

A sought after guitarist known for his unique rhythmic yet lyrical style, Chuck Prophet is a talented singer, songwriter as well. His compelling voice and unique style draw the crowd into the stories of his songs as they dance and enjoy. This one is not a concert to be missed!

Performing a collection of his favorites from New Orleans, Billy Franklin is widely known and loved for his prolific guitar work and subtle yet poignant vocals.
