Tired of being inside, surrounded by snow? Feeling cooped up and weary of the cold? Well, come on up to Ouray this weekend, and remember why winter is so great! Ouray Parks and Recreation Committee is again hosting the annual Ouray Cabin Fever Days on February 21st at the Lee’s Ski Hill in Ouray. This event is a local-favorite for the variety of events and fun atmosphere.
Family fun is the name of the game, with good times for all, competitions and just plain fun at the base of the San Juan mountains! Children young and old can come enjoy winter activities, or watch comfortable next to the nice warm fire pit!
This year events include: ski and snowboard races, sled races, a jump contest, and snowshoe races. The fun isn’t exclusive to those participating in races; a fire pit and marshmallow roasting will be available throughout the event.
All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate; Cabin Fever Day is about fun, family and enjoying the beautiful late winter weather.
The fun begins at 12:00PM, with sign up starting at 11:30 AM. The event goes until 5:00PM, making for a perfect day on the Ski Hill, and delicious evening at one of Ouray’s fantastic restaurants. For additional information, contact Shawn at (970) 318-1233.
After a great day of wintery fun, enjoy a nice long soak in the natural mineral hot springs, and sooth out any little bit of cold s'mores and coco haven't already warmed away!
