The Holidays are here, and Ouray, Colorado is a great place to celebrate!

Sledding, snow-shoeing, ice skating and soaking in our all natural hot springs are just a small taste of activities Ouray has to offer. Of course, when planning a winter escape, it is always a good idea to know all of your dining options, particularly if you are planning a visit over Christmas or New Year's.

New Year's Eve in Ouray is always a favorite time, as the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department creates a fireworks display second to none. Nothing quite compares to the beauty of colored lights reflected on the snowy peaks, and the echoing boom followed by the distant swoosh of displaced snow. This year, there are a few options for a wonderful evening in Ouray, and Katie, Craig, one of our newest team members, has put together the following list of dining options for you:

Artisan Bakery: Open from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Closed on Christmas and New Year’s.

The Artisan offers a selection of homemade baked goods and sandwiches. The perfect place for breakfast and lunch. Come in and grab something to go if you’re planning on a day of outdoor activities! If you’re looking for a holiday pie or some baked goods, give them a call!

bon-ton-restaurant-4.jpgBon Ton: Open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm. They will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s. Keep in mind, a special menu will be offered on New Year’s Eve. Make your reservations soon!

The Bon Ton is a locally owned restaurant that offers classic Italian dishes. With choices varying from pasta to duck, everyone will remember their dining experience here. Enjoy the holiday season in their intimate dining room with family and friends or as a couple.

brickhouse-1.jpgBrickhouse 737: Open every day except for Christmas from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Bring in the New Year at their party on New Year’s Eve!

Brickhouse 737 is new to the area and is locally owned and operated. Their Contemporary American dishes are made with farm fresh ingredients. Enjoy their variety of appetizers, dinners, and desserts! BE sure to take a look at their innovative cocktail menu while you’re there!

buentiempo-3.jpgBuen Tiempo: Open for lunch on Christmas Eve from 11:00 am until close, also open for dinner New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day for dinner from 5:30 pm until close.

Step into a festive atmosphere and enjoy the best Mexican food on this side of the San Juans. You’ll find entrees such as Carne Asada, Chile Rellenos, Huevos Rancheros, and many more. Warm up with a bowl of Pasole and pair your meal with one of their many margaritas.

campbells.jpgCamp-Bell’s Cajun Cuisine: Open on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed on Christmas.

Enjoy a piece of the South and grab a po-boy or some gumbo here! Guaranteed to keep you warm, full, and happy for the Holidays.

Goldbelt Bar and Grill: Open on Christmas Eve from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, New Year’s Eve from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and New Year’s Day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Closed on Christmas.

Come here to enjoy a family-friendly menu! With their variety of delicious burgers, sandwiches, and pizza, everyone is bound to leave full and happy. Try one of their many sides including beer-battered onion rings, french fries, sweet potato fries, or even buffalo wings. To satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in one of their homemade desserts.

Visit to get a feel of an Irish Pub, enjoy a mixture of Irish and American favorites. Pair your meal with one of their many beers on tap or try a flight of whiskey!

Ouray Brewery Open on Christmas Eve from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Closed on Christmas.

Serving American favorites paired with locally brewed beer is a great way to celebrate the holidays! Remember to ask about their growlers, too!

Step into the past into their saloon style dining room and enjoy a variety of steaks, seafood, and pasta! Choose from their delectable appetizers to start, there’s something for the kiddos, too. Enjoy a specialty cocktail with your meal to brighten up your holiday!

Roast and Toast offers a wide variety for breakfast and lunch daily along with delicious coffee drinks. The restaurant is locally owned and operated, offering many local ingredients including locally roasted coffee and homemade pastries. They offer many gluten free and vegetarian options. The whole family is bound to find something to enjoy to get your day of exploring started!
