Ouray County Performing Arts Guild Presents an evening of Music and Fun to Southwest Colorado!

davidlutkin2Enjoy an evening of some of the best-known and some of the not-so-familiar songs which make up the genre of American folk.  Among the music will be:  This Land Is Your Land, Puff the Magic Dragon, Some Day Soon, Blowing in the Wind, Freight Train, Where Have All the Flowers Gone?, 500 Miles, Irene Goodnight, Mr. Tambourine Man, Departee, Lemon Tree, For Lovin me, If I Had a Hammer, Turn  Turn  Turn, and many others.  

"This Land is Your Land" is a show led by acclaimed Broadway organizer/lead performer David Lutkin, as well as a number of other members of the recent hit "Woody Sez", a revue of the life and music of Folk Music legend Woody Guthrie. The revue enjoyed very successful, long-running engagements at both the Cambridge Massachusetts American Repertory Theatre and in other theatres across the country including Denver Theatre Center, Florida’s Asolo Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Cleveland Playhouse, and several others.





ocpagThe Ouray County Performing Arts Guild is pleased to present this performance at the Wright Opera House, which in addition to the songs listed above will turn many into sing-alongs, and many of their presentations will include background stories about them and the songwriters. The show starts at 7:00 pm, doors at 6:30. Ticket cost is $15.00 at the door.

Spend the afternoon before the show wandering the shops on Main Street, A little bird told me there might be something special happening in the middle of town at 6th and Main at around 2:00pm. Keep your eyes and ears open and your camera handy!
