Wondering what to do in Ouray on the last weekend of October? Well wonder no more! The Wright Opera House and other local venues have a full calendar of entertainment ready for you.
The Annual Sneffels Fiber Festival promises to be an eclectic mixture of art, music, food and fun.
Focusing on all aspects of fiber and fiber arts, the festival will be a three day event held at the Ouray County 4H Events Center, featuring over 20 Fiber Artists with booths including clothing, scarves, jewelry, buttons, fiber art supplies, yarn, and more! Classes to sign up in advanced and FREE demonstrations including basic knitting.
Perhaps it is just nostalgia, but there is something about a County Fair and rodeo that puts a smile on my face.
Wandering from building to building at the fairgrounds, checking out livestock lovingly raised by kids in the county, the smell of hay and horses, candied apples and cowboys......The competitions are fun to watch. Everything from disciplined equine work, to the loud and rowdy tractor pull. Of course, you can't forget the amazing food or the arts and crafts show!

Ouray, CO, July 6, 2016: Tantalize your tastebuds and savor Ouray County’s lively culinary scene at Fork Fest 2016, coming to Ridgway and Ouray on Aug. 19 and 20. Sponsored by Weehawken Creative Arts, Fork Fest began in 2013 as a fresh local twist on the erstwhile Ouray Culinary Festival of the 1980s. This year, organizers have expanded the scope of the event, shifting it from May to August, and including activities in Ridgway as well as Ouray. Throughout the weekend, foodies from near and far will delight in all the delicious food that Ouray County and the greater Uncompahgre Valley have to offer, and will learn new ways to prepare it for friends and family at home.

Join the community for a fun dinner in the park and the grand finale of Ouray County Fork Fest 2016, followed by Mountain Film on Tour! On Saturday, August 20th, starting at 5:00pm, the Ridgway Creative District and Weehawken Creative Arts will host a Farm-to-Table Community Potluck Dinner in Hartwell (Town) Park-- near the park pavilion close to Charles Street. This MoonWalk brings together community and visitors for a sit-down potluck meal in the park with live music by Heather and Douglas and thirst-quenching libations.

A sport that combines hiking with rock climbing and rappelling, as well as jumping, and swimming every aspect of the putdoor acventure is there for the enjoyment of all.
Canyoneering, or Canyoning, as some people refer to it, is an experience every sports enthusiast should try at least once!
Unlike the dry canyons in Utah, the canyons in Ouray feature waterfalls, and amazing rock formations and scenery, sure to create the most memorable experience.

The Fourth of July in Ouray is always a grand celebration. From parades and water fights, to barbecues and free concerts in the ark, there are few places that take having fun so seriously.
The weather was on our side again this year, so we expect yet another epic firework display. As the Volunteer Fire Department fires illuminations into the sky above town, there are few places you will see such an awesome show!

The Ouray County Performing Arts Guild (OCPAG), is a non-profit organisation dedicated to obtaining presentations and performers of the highest caliber in the performing arts for the enjoyment of Ouray County’s residents and visitors. From concerts to classes, Ouray County benefits greatly from the tireless efforts of this organisation to bring color and culture to our little corner of the world.
Outdoing themselves yet again, OCPAG is proud to bring the Jordan Carls Quartet for an intimate Jazz Cabaret at the Wright Opera House at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22.
